I am in love with this dress that Leann Rimes wore to the CMT music awards. I think the color really stands out, the sweetheart neckline is super flattering and the belt and shoes give the dress an edge.

132: Wear to work

If you are a regular reader you know that I am always looking for work outfits that fit my style while still being professional. Every now and then I come across outfits that speak to the look I want perfectly. This picture of Alexis Bledel is perfect. A classic black and white combo (I know I posted about this yesterday) and fancy shoes! Every woman has a white button up...or should... and a nice pair of slacks. Throw on a pair ofstand out shoes (these are Alice and Olivia) and you have an outfit! LOVE.

131: Pink at night

So many woman shy away from color. ESPECIALLY when they are getting dressed for a formal event. I think that wearing Hot Pink is such a new and fun way to stand out. Diane and Carrie both chose pink dresses and took a risk. I know that not everyone is going to love the choices but I think that they are fantastic.

Jessica Simpson 'Dany'

I am SO SO SO excited to receive TWO things in the mail today! I swear opening the boxes was almost as good as opening presents on Christmas morning. SERIOUSLY! I have been wanting a pair of the Jessica Simpson 'Dany's' since I received the email back in April and tweeted about them about the same time. Well I got a tweet AND an email letting me know that they were back in stock. And I happily jumped on my computer and bought them in Black. They are pretty comfy for being so dang tall! 6 inches tall to be exact. And I LOVE them. SO happy I bought them.

130: Kimono Kool

My love for Nicole Richie, her style and her clothing line continues to grow. I bought the Winter Kate 'Jasmine Cardi' that I blogged about a couple of weeks ago and I am OBSESSED with it (pics coming soon). I wore it three times last week and I am wearing it again Friday. Nicole wore a similar looking Kimono/Coat to CNN a couple nights ago. I love the combination of the purple with her gray jeans. And I LOVE her hair. Great way to get your hair out of your face and off your neck and STILL look chic. Love her!

129: Buns and lace

As the temperature continues to rise it becomes harder to find outfits (other than a dress) that are comfy AND cute to wear for a night out. When I saw this picture I was excited to see a new twist on the tank and shorts combination. I am a HUGE fan of white shorts with balck tops. These shorts have a delicate lace/scalloped edge. Loose tanks tend to look dressier and help hide a stomach pooch! Throw on heels and a large pair of Gold hoop earrings and you have an outfit for a night on the town.

Kristin's hair caught my eye. We are seeing so many buns lately. I love that it looks a little messy and not so ballerina like. Definitely trying this hair style VERY soon.

128: Sexy stripes

I pretty much think that Kourtney Kardashian is the cutest. And I honestly want to look as good as her after having a baby. I saw this pic of Kourtney and Scott and knew I had to post right away even though I have NO clue what dress she is wearing! She is wearing the YSL vanity booties in natural that she has rocked (and I have obsessed about) since April. She is also carrying a Balenciaga City bag in Natural. I love her hair in the pony. We always see her hair down and I think that it looks young and fresh.

127: Crochet

I am on such a jeans and tee kick. I must be craving some time where I don't need to dress up. I love this outfit that January Jones is wearing. The crochet top gives the outfit such a vintage feel. 

If you have NOT checked out the Nordstrom "Under $90" mailer...you MUST! There are some INCREDIBLE items in there that you will want to buy! There is a silk Crochet top that I feel in love with that is similar to the top January is wearing. Yellow is such a fun color for the summer. And for $78 bucks it won't hurt my wallet :)

126: Tye me up

I have realy been trying to find outfits that are a little more casual and something that we can all wear. I love dresses and fancy shoes but there are only so many places that I can wear them. I posted about a casual outfit that I LOVED and I think that this is another way that you can wear that same look. Jessica is wearing a slim fitting pair of BF jeans and a great wrap with a basic tee underneath. She is carrying a Fendi Spybag and wearing Jessica Simpson collection open toe clogs. I think that Jess looks AMAZING in this pic. Fresh, young, casual AND trendy.

 Tye dye is a print I am glad was brought back from the Eighties.

125: Oh olive!

My love affair with Olive Green has been chronicled for the entire spring season. I have shown the color in so many different articles of clothing. I don't think that I have posted about a dressier piece in this color. I LOVE this Alice and Olivia dress worn by Julianne Hough on a date with Ryan Seacrest. (I adore the cuteness of Juliane and I just FLAT out love Ryan Seacrest. I approve of the coupling in spite of the age difference). I truly think that the accessories make this outfit. I love the whiskey color of the belt and the nude peep toe pumps. They stand out without overpowering the dress.

124: Missoni

About a year and a half ago we had a Missoni personal appearance at one of the stores I work at. The gorgeous Margherita was there. And she really is naturally beautiful. Ever since then I have been DYING to get my hands on some sort of tunic. I want a piece that I can wear with jeans or with wedges on a summer night. When I saw this pic of Kate Hudson (filming her new movie "Something Borrowed". GREAT BOOK by the way.) I knew I found what I was looking for! Now I just have to find the money to buy it ;)

123: Stripey stripes

I LOVE stripes. I really do.

I know that they can be hard to wear. Every time the nautical clothing comes out I want to buy every piece. But being larger on top (damn apple shaped body) definitely makes this a tough trend for me to pull off. I think that Leann Rimes looks darling in her red and navy stiped tank. her casual look is perfect for the hot summer California days.

Thursday teaser!

122: Minkoff McLovin'

It has been quite awhile since I have given Handbags some love on my blog. Which is weird since I work with them every single day. It is not hard for me to fall in love with a handbag. But I am definitely a picky person when it comes to actually buying them. I tend to be a designer snob and don't have the dinero to drop on them whenever I want.

Rebecca Minkoff Handbags are amazing. I LOVE her style and vision. I think that she is a designer who thinks outside of the box and reaches the non "IT" girl. She has gotten so much press over the last year. There are currently two bags that I am lusting over. I have to find a way to sneak in these beauties into my handbags wardrobe!

I currently own these bags...

The left bag is the Morning After Clutch ( MAC) and my version is in black leather with hot pink piping and gold hardware. I also own the same clutch in Gray. Love them both. They go with so many things and can be worn three ways: a clutch, a short shoulder bag or crossbody.

The right bag is the Tye Dye Morning After Bag (the iconic RM shape that put her on the map). I own it in black and white and the leather is so incredibly soft. My mom actually asked if the bag was fur or suede since it looked soft from far away. Great size and shape.

These are the two bags I am lusting over...

The left bag is the True Love hobo. Being that I am a hopeless romantic and tend to have a love for rocker chic this is the perfect bag for me. Hobo's are my FAVORITE shape and the first bags that I am drawn too! I love the gunmetal studs and the touch of fringe. This is a MUST HAVE!

The right bag is the Nikki in Python. I love the color of this bag. It is a neutral that has a sophisticated feel in a boho shape. It is so light weight. I would wear this with everything. It can be dressed up or down. LOVE!

121: Jumpsuit LOVE cont.

A couple of days ago I shared how much I loved black jumpsuits as a chic evening wear alternative. I also love the jumpsuit for day wear. I love how one piece makes you look polished and put together. Jumpsuits are a blank canvas waiting to be painted. Accessories are the perfect way to funk up the outfit. Belts create a waist, a statment necklace or pair of earrings really standout, scarves give the look a more boho feel and your shoe possiblities are endless.

I found this picture of Kourtney Kardashian yesterday. She was filming Keeping up with the Kardashians with her mom, sisters and baby Mason. I love the simplicity of the style and the color of the dress.

120: not so basic

Maxi dresses are everywhere. You can buy them for $20 or $700+. They are comfortable but chic. They perfect dress to wear after a long day at the beach or pool (or work). And everyone has some sort of black version. While basic black is flattering and timeless it is nice to see different twists on the look. Back in April, Hilary Duff, was photographed shoe shopping at Barney's in Beverly Hills. Looking through the first few pics of her dress, it looked like any other maxi dress. But then they showed a picture from behind. I LOVE the straps on the dress. So interesting and funky. Made me want to buy ANOTHER black maxi.

I have been obsessing over Nicole Richie's lines lately and I knew that I had to add a Winter Kate piece to my wardrobe. I love that Nicole has embraced her boho chic style into her designs. I think that she always looks great and I want to embody that as well.

Here is how I wear my piece...

Looks great casual but can be worn dressier as well.

The ends can also be tied up to look totally different.

Keep it simple. I like to wear tanks that are not skin tight. The Alexander Wang T's are SO comfy and roomy. But you can wear a Hanes wife beater as well. Or any tank for that matter.

Shoes can make or break the outfit.

I think you should wear heels to dress up a more casual outfit or throw on gladiator sandals or flip flops.

Depends on the atmosphere and how comfortable you are in heels. HIGH heels ;)

Steve Madden Caryssa in Green Seude

These shoes are my newest obsession. So high and actually super comfy. this heel is great for those with a wider foot. I saw a girl wearing the green pair a few weeks ago and I knew I had to have them. I love how it brings out the green in the cardi. I also bought them in black. They come in 5 seude colors, patent leather, exotics and so on. I think that there are more than 11 color choices! Find your perfect pair!

Staying on theme with Nicole Richie products I found this necklace and new it was the PERFECT tie in to the cradi and the shoes. Green and Gold are an amazing combination! This necklace is modeled after feathers! Cool huh!

Throw on a bunch of gold bangles and an oversized gold watch and you are good to go!

119: Nude and metallic

I like to think that if I had to dress up for Hollywood events, premieres and red carpets that my style would be fun and flirty. I know what necklines and hemlines work well with my body type. I do well with strapless, sweetheart or halter necklines and a short hemline. When I saw this dress that Nikki Reed is wearing I knew that it was something that I would have chosen for myself.

I love the nude background and the spattering of metallic discs. The neckline is daring with out bearing to much. The shoes are a little more rock and roll and really pull out the metallics in the dress.

The dress (and Nikki) get an A+!

There are so many ways that you can look dressed up these days. I am a huge fan of rompers and jumpsuits. These ladies look chic and don't have to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions :)

Meeting the Kardashians

In honor of...

Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami

Season Two starting tonight.

{Jacy(Nordy's buyer), Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Katie(Regional Mgr) and me(Regional Mgr)}

In April I was able to support one of my closest friends by helping her run the Kardashian event for their Virgins, Saints and Angels Jewelry line at Nordstrom Fashion Island. The girls agreed to do a personal appearance for the line since Nordstrom and their stores Dash are the only stores to be carrying the line.

The girls came and signed autographs for about two hours before the Fire Marshall was called to close down the event because of how many people were there. It was INSANE. People are bizarre and say the weirdest things to celebs. After working the event, meeting the girls and helping to get them out of the store I know that I could NOT live a celebrity lifestyle. They would have been mobbed without security.

The girls are teeny tiny, gorgeous and super nice.

Especially Khloe.

I LOVE the girls style and they often end up in many of my posts.

It was great to meet people that I admire and not be disappointed.

117: Fedora fun

There are many, many hats in my accessory wardrobe and I wear them quite frequently. Fedoras are my favorite and look cute with so many things. You can dress them up or wear them with a casual outfit. Plus they look chic on your worst hair day!

I have been a Lakers fan for as long as I can remember. I would sit and watch the "Dream Team" with my Dad in the eighties. In the fifth grade I did flip flop and love the Chicago Bulls (Hello, Michael Jordan!). But after that brief and fleeting moment my heart has belonged to the Lakers. My senior year of High School my friends and I got to meet Kobe Bryant, randomly, at Magic Mountain and rode Viper with him and his friends. It was pretty awesome. OH...and coincidentally I sat next to Kobe's wife in Sophomore English. We went to the same High School! SO I truly feel like I have a connection :) I had to post my love and show off my CUTE LAKERS tee and BF jeans! (Please excuse the grainy pics. I need an iPhone 4 to change that. Hehe)

GO LAKERS!!! Two games left and the title is yours! Again!

I LOVE to dress up and look girly. But let's be honest I do not want to be a glamazon every day. I seriously LOVE wearing jeans and my flip flops. Kim is dressed up in 99% of the pictures we see of her. While she always looks amazing I was kind of relieved when I saw a pic of her dressed down. She looks darling in her Kardashians by Bebe tye dye T, oversized bell bottoms, Haviana flip flops and her Dita Wanderlust sunglasses. YES, she looks incredible when she is dressed down too!

115: Grecian Goddess

I am a SUCKER for white dresses. Maybe it has to do with my love of Greek culture, or my desire to wear my own wedding dress but regardless of my reason I am drawn to them. Sophia Bush hosted a Rachel Pally event and wore this incredible 'Fortuna' dress. It is available at shopbop. I am trying to convince myself that $251 for a maxi-dress is reasonable! ;)
