This outfit was inspired by a picture of Sophia Bush that I pinned on Pinterest. I LOVE these Gap pants but have felt limited in what I could wear them with due to the blue of the pants, they are so dark and don't look like denim. I am weird about pairing colors with certain blues. After seeing Sophia pair her polka dot pants with a gray sweatshirt and heels I knew I could pull off that look. Since it is warm I found a lightweight sweatshirt with short sleeves and had my outfit. I paired it with my Zara heels and complementary jewelry pieces. Love how it came together. Don't mind my cray cray hair... this is how it ends up every day now that I am working in the store. Lol. I am taking messy bun to a new level ;)

I have another Kiki La'Rue beauty for you! I have been searching high and low for a leopard maxi for years. I finally found one that fits well, even with a large print, and hides all of my flaws. This dress is super comfy, feels kind of like pajamas, but fancier! I can wear it with flats or heels. Sass it up with some jewelry or keep it super simple.

I cannot stop wearing maxi dresses. An entire outfit, that makes you look pulled together in one piece is just too good to be true!

Happy Monday!

I don't know about you but the weeks are flying by! I cannot keep up with everything and I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it is the SECOND week of April! AAAGGGHHHH! I have a lot of fun stuff coming up in the next two months including Stagecoach Country Music Festival out in Palm Springs, my birthday, a wedding for one of my bestest friends and a bachelorette party. I kicked my workout and diet regimen into HIGH gear on Friday. I want to lose 8-10 pounds in the next month so I am one disciplined woman. That also means that every thing I cannot/will not eat, I have now begun to crave. WHYYY??? Haha. Do you all have some fun stuff planned that you are looking forward to? Anyone else on a weight loss journey, like me? Let's discuss! And SUPPORT one another. :)

I am sure that I have mentioned that going to concerts or live shows is pretty much one of my favorite things to do. Ever. I am such a music lover and it really helps soothe my soul. On Friday I got to see a friend sing at a local coffee shop/art gallery. It was fun and intimate. Just what I needed to end my week/start my weekend. I got into the spirit and busted out an OLD concert tee, some distressed denim and my favorite heels. This is a look that I honestly feel the sexiest in. Simple, fun, casual.

My inspiration and creativity has been very spotty lately. Some days hours I am FULL of great ideas, photo sesh locations and words, then nothing. It is craziness I tell ya! I have been utilizing my Pinterest boards to keep myself going. I created (wrote down) quite a few outfits that I want to try in the upcoming weeks. Luckily Spring is just around the corner and I have great options for the warmer days and cooler nights!

It has become apparent, after looking through my closet and drawers, that I have an obsession with gray tops. Sweatshirts, Tees and Tanks I tend to gravitate towards gray. So when I saw this look, I knew I had all of the pieces to pull it off. It is a casual cool feel and perfect for Spring!

Three days in a row of outfit posts! Yes! I am on a roll!

This outfit was ended up being more fun than I expected. I LOVED pairing the polka dots together. I feel like the scarf totally complimented the sweater since it was opposite in coloring and the dots even had shades of camel in them. I am usually drawn towards darker jeans (more slimming in my opinion) but I thought that a lighter pair made the look a little more Springy. Since everything else was so neutral I liked having a slight pop of color from the burgundy heels. I kept the jewelry simple. My hair was dirty so the bun was my only option. I HAD to wear the sunnies because I wasn't wearing make up. Haha. And I chose to put on some burgundy lipstick to tie in the shoes and "look" like I was more pulled together than I was. ;)

What I Wore: I Heart Cognac

I am SO excited for Thanksgiving! 

It is tied with the 4th of July as my favorite holiday! I am so THANKFUL for a short work week so that I can spend time with my family and friends out in Scottsdale, AZ. WOOHOO! I have already attended two Thanksgiving festivities with friends and I was able to avoid Gluten. Stuffing is my favorite and I was so sad to not have a single bite BUT very proud that I didn't succumb to temptation. Thank the lord for sweet potato dishes becasue I load up! So I am not too worried about eating healthy and avoiding gluten for the REAL celebration.

I have to tell you guys that my love affair with cognac boots is alive and kicking. I am having a hard time finding outfits that DON'T look good with them. They are the perfect pop that completes the look yet still stands out.  I have LOVED playing around with neutrals, specifically black and gray, with the cognac. Most people would pair black boots with this look, but that was too tame for what I was going for. This may be a basic outfit but I think that it is just different enough to make a statement. As it gets cooler I think pairing a bright colored cowl or scarf with the look will be even sassier. Do you have a pair of cognac boots in your wardrobe? If not, buy them. Seriously. You need!

Hi Friends!

I am so excited that the weekend is finally here. I am headed to Central California to a little town that I have been dying to visit with my best friend. I am in need of a little getaway. It is always nice to head to the beach to clear my head. Happy place!

Last night I had a work meeting and left SO EXCITED and really felt like myself again. It is so stimulating to be around people that are passionate and full of ideas. I could talk about this for days but I will spare you. :)

Just know that I feel BLESSED.

Surprise, Surprise... I am wearing skinnies and booties again. I love the combo of black, camel and red together. Even if it reminds me of a Target employee. Haha. Polka Dots are pretty feminine to me so I like to toughen them up when I wear them. I think the studded, motorcycle type booties help keep the look from being too sweet. This is a pretty simple and easy look to pull together.

What I Wore: Minty Leopard

It is about that time in So Cal when it's not super hot yet it is not cold either. You scramble to find ways to still wear some of your Summer clothes while trying to transition into Fall/Winter. I always have the hardest time getting dressed because I never know what to put together.

This outfit was kind of a last minute, thrown together look. I hadn't worn jeans for months and I wanted to wear my mint jeans before they became "too summery". I thought that pairing them with leopard print would make them a little more transitional. This blouse is really easy to wear and goes with everything. It will be perfect for layering when it is actually cooler out. And honestly...the more I look at these pics, the less I like the way these jeans look! I hate that. Haha!

I always look forward to Wednesday because I know the weekend is just around the corner! Today's post is going to be short and sweet. 

I attended the Carrie Underwood concert last night. She was PHENOMENAL live! Seriously. I think she is one of the most gorgeous people in the world. And her legs. Hands down the best I have ever seen. Loved the costumes and her voice is amazing. We had FAB seats and I enjoyed the company of a really good friend who hooked the tickets up! I think this may be my last concert for the year. SAD FACE! Although I will be buying my ticket for Stagecoach Music Festival on Saturday morning! YAY!!!!

I am not one to dress up for concerts. I stick to the basics. Plus it is still hot in LA and it is always hot in the venue. I decided to wear my printed ddenim, booties and a tank. Threw on a necklace and some bangles and called it an outfit! What do you think??

Oh my...it is August!

When did that happen? I swear that this year is flying by. I have good and bad feelings about that! This month is going to be a GREAT one for me. My sister is due on Friday. Which means I get to meet my niece SOON. Having another little one to love just fills my heart. I cannot get enough of my nephew so I know that I will love my niece just as much. We are having a mini family reunion this weekend and we will be beach camping. I am so excited to spend time with all my loved ones. In three weeks I head to Mexico to attend a wedding of a friend. I also have a couple dates planned. So don't mind me as I gush about how much I love my life on the blog ;)

As for my outfit...we have been seeing polka dots everywhere! I don't know if you know this but I am not a huge J. Crew fan. So when I received the catalog and saw a polka dot sweater on the cover I was kind of bummed. I had already ordered this outfit from Old Navy and had a vision. I feel like now I look like a copy cat. Haha. A lot of bloggers have been wearing polka dots this week as well. I guess I am just late to the trend. I loved that the sweater had larger polka dots and knew that this sweater will be perfect into Fall and Winter. I love the camel color. Pairing it with shorts that have smaller polka dots was a fun way for me to "mix prints" and push myself style wise. I wanted to wear my Zara shoes that match perfectly. The neutral palette was a nice change from my brights. I wore all black and gold jewelry to complement but not compete with the outfit. I love how the look came together.

Weekend Wonders

Whew...I am exhausted!

I got in at midnight last night after an incredible weekend in Houston, Texas. My "girls weekend" was actually a SURPRISE visit to my beautiful friend Jill's house to throw her a SURPRISE Baby Shower. Jill is pregnant with twins and is on modified bed rest. Since she is a Cali girl at heart and she cannot fly out to see us we went to her. It was worth every single penny to see the look on her face when we showed up on her doorstep! The shower was so elegant and beautiful. My friend Lauren is an amazing party planner and had such an incredible vision for the shower. We got to spend so much quality time with Jill and her hubby. We ate Texas BBQ and we HAD to have Tex Mex Queso. I needed that time with my girlfriend's and the getaway couldn't have been better timed after my crazy week.
