What I Wore: Camo and Neutrals

I cannot focus on all that I have going on this week because I will be at Stagecoach in TWO days! I am so excited I can barely stand it! I have planned my outfits and have been working out like crazy! I cannot wait to just be by the pool! And listen to music. Obvi!

Since I have been running around like a crazy person I am sticking to the staples. It has still been warm during the day but it definitely cools down at night. I haphazardly threw this jacket on while running out the door. It was a subtle way to mix prints and the wedges still kept the look more girly, and showed off my legs! Hehe. I love the mix of the neutral stripes and the camo. Nothing Earth shattering with this look but it is very "me".

What I Wore: Chunky Knit and Prints

In so many ways I use blogging as my journal. I know exactly what I was feeling and thinking when I go back and read old posts. I love that I am able to channel my thoughts into one place even when they aren't always sunshine and rainbows! Thanks for understanding that I cannot always complete an entire thought process or share what the exact scenario is and for reading anyways!

When I saw THIS PIC of Khloe Kardashian back in July I knew I had to buy those jeans. I found them for a GREAT price on Amazon and wear them all of the time! I love that she wore such a light denim with black. I tend to wear lighter colors with lighter denim because I feel like sometimes the combo is almost too drastic. But I finally decided to try it out. I grabbed a chunky knit sweater and my fringe boots and pulled together a fun, casual look.

If you follow my on Instagram, I wore this outfit on the day I bought TWO coffees. I thought it was worth noting since I barely drink once coffee a week BUT I was exhausted! I look at these pics and see how tired I was. Minimal make up, I didn't brush my hair and dark circles. Another way to document my life... I had a GREAT date the night before. Talking to someone until 3am is always worth looking a little haggard!

What I Wore: Dinner Date

How many of you have an outfit that just makes you feel good? You put it on and you have that extra pep in your step. Sometimes it is hard to describe why certain pieces make us feel so much better about ourselves (well for me it is hard to describe at times). This outfit has been my "go to" date look all Summer long. It is just a simple silk blouse, printed linen shorts and wedges but it still feels dressier and special. I used to always wear black and I love how fresh the cream looks, especially when I am tan.

I wore this on a date last night. Yes, it is still warm enough to wear shorts. Yes, I am going to milk the Summer weather as long as possible. Haha. I hadn't worn this outfit for a couple months and realized that I am going to have to retire it. Sadly it is too big on me now and my shorts were falling off of me after an hour of wear (which is good for my weight loss). Constantly pulling up and holding your shorts while walking is definitely awkward in front of your date!

It is HUMP day!

Woot! WOot! 

I always look forward to Wednesday because I know the weekend is just around the corner! Today's post is going to be short and sweet. 

I attended the Carrie Underwood concert last night. She was PHENOMENAL live! Seriously. I think she is one of the most gorgeous people in the world. And her legs. Hands down the best I have ever seen. Loved the costumes and her voice is amazing. We had FAB seats and I enjoyed the company of a really good friend who hooked the tickets up! I think this may be my last concert for the year. SAD FACE! Although I will be buying my ticket for Stagecoach Music Festival on Saturday morning! YAY!!!!

I am not one to dress up for concerts. I stick to the basics. Plus it is still hot in LA and it is always hot in the venue. I decided to wear my printed ddenim, booties and a tank. Threw on a necklace and some bangles and called it an outfit! What do you think??

The Waiting Game

I think I jinxed my sister because her little one does NOT want to come out.
Although by the time you read this I could be driving my happy self back up to the Central Coast to watch the birth. You never know! Luckily I got to spend a lot of time with my nephew while waiting!

Camping and mini Family reunion was awesome. I had a great time reconnecting and spending time with my loved ones. I lived in im Wildfox Baggy Jumpers, Juicy pants and Uggs. I also enjoyed not wearing make up or doing my hair for 3+ days. Hats were my Best Friend!

What I Wore: HELLOOOO Brights!

Hump Day!

I love this day of the week. 

I am actually spending the day in San Diego with one of my oldest friends and I could not be more excited to see her. She lives in St. Louis and our schedules make it hard to even chat, jobs and time differences are working against us! Lunch and shopping by the beach is never a bad day.

As for today's outfit I was inspired by a friend. She wore this top to her birthday party a couple weeks ago and I HAD to have it. Something about stripes (and yellow) keep jumping out at me! I used to hate stripes and now I cannot stop buying them. I loved that the neon was paired with oatmeal instead of gray or taupe.  Pairing it with white jeans seemed fresh and Summer worthy. Although I had to change these pants because the drooped in the crotch after a half an hour of wear. BOO! Gold jewelry and neutral wedges complemented the tones. Having a tan doesn't hurt either. Haha.

P.S. How bright are my nails?? Loving this color. It is Sinful Colors 'Summer Peach'. They seriously GLOW!

What I Wore: Photo Shoot Outfit #1

I had so much fun taking pictures with my close friend Leslie of Sweet Child of Mine photography! I feel so lucky that she takes the time to "play photo shoot" with me when her real specialty is maternity, newborn and children's pics. I love her work, I love the locations and I love her. The first outfit was not one of the winners BUT was an outfit that I liked. The colors and the print of the skirt were what drew me in. Pairing it with neutrals let the skirt shine. An FYI about the skirt...it is actually ankle length. I pulled it up right under my chest because I know that skirts that hit me right below the knee are the most flattering on my body type.

Being a part of the blogging world is so exciting.

It is fun, rewarding and challenging. 

I love that I am challenged to be a better version of myself by expressing myself through what I wear.

I LOVE the idea behind Everybody, Everywear.

The best thing about blogging is seeing how people wear certain outfits, articles of clothing and even the same item. This month's challenge is to wear Yellow. That is it. No other rules or regulations. I am so excited to see what everyone will wear.

I chose a Collective Concepts blouse that I bought a little over a year ago. In fact, it was one of my first outfit posts! I have only worn this top a few times and always with jeans or jean cut offs. I have seen a lot of bloggers who layer and I wanted to try it. I get HOT in 2.5 seconds so I have been scared to try layering in the summer for the pure fact that I think I will melt! This top is sheer and light weight so pairing it with a maxi was my top choice. I chose navy since it is the perfect complementary color to yellow. I decided to tie up the bottom of the dress to help with the heat AND because I loved the draping detail. Plus it shows off the shoes.

I LOVE how the pics turned out. I was brave and took my pics in a more "public" area and I think the background was PERFECT for this challenge.

What I Wore: Britney Spears concert

Hi Friends!

I sure missed you the past few days! I have been working on a project that has consumed me. I look forward to sharing it with you all SOON!

On Monday night I got to see my girl, Britney, in all of her glory! YOU guys! She danced (FULL out, like old times), looked like she was having SO much fun, was super interactive with the crowd, looked amazing AND I think that she actually sang (I mean NO lip syncing) on a couple of the songs. It was a great show, Lauren and I danced and sang the whole time, and we even saw the Hilton sisters. I WISH it had been Nicole Richie or even Kim K. but I am happy with my celeb sighting. I'll try and get some pics up of the concert over the weekend.

As for my outfit, while I didn't wear sparkles, I went with with casual comfort. When I saw this Free People top on Caitlin's blog I bought it immediately. I knew it was perfect for the concert. I paired it with a neon yellow bandeau top and legging jeans. I loved my jewelry and how my hair turned it. It was perfect for dancing and the heat!

What I Wore: Knit me up!

I really loved the outfit that Hilary wore in my Travel Tuesday post from a couple of weeks ago. When I found a similar top, before I quit my job, for $16 I was super excited.

I skipped on Accessories, which sucks because I think that the hat and sunnies made Hilary's outfit. Even without accessories I really like how the outfit turned out. To make the outfit a little more feminine I wore wedges instead of flat sandals. I think they made the outfit :)
