What I Wore: Melon

Happy Tuesday!
My weeks have been busy and my weekend's a bit slower which is a weird, yet great, thing to have happen! I am still struggling to have reasons to really get dressed up. This look is from a few week's back but is perfect as it is starting to cool just a bit.

I fell in love with these jeans while working {shortly} at Nordy's this Summer. They are the perfect amount of stretch and I feel like I cannot buy anything else anymore. This is a problem. Haha. Paired with a basic blouse and my black heels this makes my jeans look a tad bit dressier. I am still obsessed with camo and I love the girly touch of the melon stripe. Makes the look all come together.

It's just another manic Monday!

(and I wish it were Sunday)

Are you all ready for another week? It is August, friends! Where, oh where, has the time gone?

Since we cannot go backwards I am going to have to make the most of the day :)

I am clearly not prepared for the week and I didn't wear anything worth photographing so you get another manicure post. Woot Woot!

I don't know how I find myself buying a new polish so often. It is like they jump into my cart and seek me out. I was so proud of myself that I only spent $27 bucks at Nordy's the other day. But I got ONE thing, Chanel nail polish. (I am jaded) I mean, who goes into Nordstrom and spends so little? Haha. Anyways, I have been in love with the Quartz color and bit the bullet. I am SO glad I did. It is a gorgeous color and is perfect for the Fall transition.

When I started painting my nails I was originally going to to my ring finger's in the gold/brown glitter. But as I started painting I decided to do the tips. I am not much of a french manicure girl, I like my nails a little funkier, but I really love how this manicure turned out. Tell me what you think!

What I Wore: Happy Father's Day

I Love Father's Day!

I have the BEST Dad in the whole wide world and any moment that I can celebrate him is fantastic! My pops is very simple and ALL he wanted to do was go to Red Lobster and play his new Wii and Frisbee golf game we (mom, sissies and I) bought him for his special day. SOOOO that is exactly what we did.

Any time I know that I will be in my hometown I feel this intense pressure (that I clearly put on myself) to always look really cute for the slight chance that I will run into someone I know. I busted out my silk blouse and floral shorts with some great accessories and called it a day. AND what do you know...the half tuck. Again. Hehe. I LOVE how this outfit came together and how tan I look ;)

Since I am on my "first" link up day I decided to LINK up to Fashion Fridays over at Blonde Episodes too! She blogged about my man, Marc Jacobs, and since I am carrying my MJ clutch I knew it was meant to be :)

This outfit was actually inspired by Jenn's FIRST outfit (she wore two and let her readers help her out). I loved that I had a reason to wear my neon peach maxi skirt, with my electric blue heels and my neon pink clutch. I went all out with the neon (if you look closely my bra even joined in on the fun) and used my white top as my only neutral color. I like how the outfit turned out AND photographed.

I think I am in love.

With my new Grandpa cardigan.

I may or may not have bought it in 3 colors.

(if I did it was because it was on sale (briefly) and I got an extra 30% off)

I received so many compliments on this color and this outfit in general. Those comments had me on cloud nine all day long.

This sweater is super sheer. Perfect for work in the So Cal summers. I loved how the sweater and the belt really jazzed up my simple black maxi.

What I Wore: Back in Action

Boy does it feel good, to feel good.

The last two weeks were crazy and I am so happy that I made it through. Cabo was JUST the medicine I needed. Rest and relaxation with my family. Nothing is better.

While I found the time to get dressed and not live in my bathing suit, I did not like many of the pictures from the trip. To be honest, I felt fat and BLAH! I may throw an outfit or two in over the next few weeks. But I am starting with an outfit from my first day home.

When the Budget Babe posted this pic of Nicky Hilton on Twitter and wrote about it on her blog, I literally changed direction and headed to the closest Target where I was told that it was only available online. Online only had it in an extra small, clearly NOT my size. So imagine my surprise when I saw it in a store. The only dress. In my size. I jumped up and down.

I am not sure why I loved this picture so much.

I think I just liked Blake a little more seeing her carry her pillow.

Being a huge hat fan I loved her cloche...although it didn't help her stay incognito.

Did you know that she is the new face of Chanel?

And she is carrying a Chanel Cocoon bag.

She was quoted as saying that she will carry the bags like every other woman.

Such a true statement that put a smile on my face.

Leggings, hoodie and motorcycle boots.

That is a totally comfy travel outfit.

319: Mixing luxury designers

People mix highs and lows into their outfits daily. You may be wearing a t shirt from Target and Louboutin's while carrying an Alexander Wang handbag and lots of chunky necklaces from Forever 21. An amazing outfit where one piece cost you three bucks and another cost you $1200. Fashion is all about how YOU wear what you want while telling the rest of the world WHO you are through your clothing. Style is determined by you. You wear what you feel good in.

Many celebs dress high low and mix many luxury labels. Chanel tends to be the most luxurious and unattainable while Burberry is luxury for the masses. It isn't often that we see the two vendors combined. But Blake Lively, one of the hottest and best dressed celebs out there AND the new face of Chanel, has combined pieces from the two houses for a darling look.

Blake is wearing a Burberry metallic trench and plaid scarf with. Chanel handbag and Tweed booties. Her dress is by Isabel Marant. she has combined amazing pieces to create the "bombshell" girl next door look. She looks incredible. As always.

316: Chanel handbag

The one thing that I love about Chanel is that each piece has a little bit of history in it. Whether the piece is iconic or has gone down the runway, it always embodies the Chanel culture. I love this bag that Hilary is carrying because it is a slightly edgy look on classic quilting. It's feminine and rocker chic. Plus its over sized! It is such an amazing looking bag!

240: Chanel Riding Boots

There is a lot going on in this picture.

Two beautiful women, a darling baby and some fierce fashion.

I can say so much about it all.

But I want you to focus on Kourtney's boots.

I have found the perfect riding boots and now I have to try to save a lot to buy them.

And I mean A LOT!

Let's talk about the two tone coloring.

The black and brown combo is interesting and different.

I think that whiskey brown looks good with any color, black included.

They hit the perfect height, right below the knee.

And you cannot see the embossed CC. The finishing touch.

AND. THEY. ARE. CHANEL.

All I want for Christmas is THESE boots.

Pretty please?!?

One hundred eighty one: Day Sequins

Another HUGE trend for Fall 2010 is Sequins, especially wearing them in the day. This ornamentation is NOT just for going out at night anymore!

Blake Lively, on the set of Gossip Girl, is wearing a perfect outfit for the day. Her sequin skirt worn with a striped tee, linen blazer and Havaina flip flops are so chic for the day! I would definetly wear this outfit any day of the week.

Let's not forget that AMAZING Chanel handbag she is carrying. Gorgeous. Like I have said before I want to live in the Gossip Girl wardrobe closet.

Riddle me this

Last week I post a Thursday Teaser.

I made a big purchase.

And I am not even going to justify buying it.

I got a REALLY, REALLY great deal.

(I work with handbags so it makes the purchase more logical)
