Currently Lusting After...

I browse the Internet frequently. When you are on the computer as much as I am it is hard not to fall in love with something new every day. I have started pinning my favorite things so that I can either save up to buy the piece or look back at it in a couple of weeks and decide if I still love it. Here are the items that I am currently lusting after...

This is what I have determined from my current list:

1. I am still OBSESSED with aztec/southwestern/ikat prints. Whether it be in a sweater, bahing suit, necklace or shoe, I want it all! I love that each piece is a statement in itself.

2. Stand Out Pieces: I love having ONE piece that pulls the entire look together. I think all three blazers do that AND they all have a different cut. I love that I can dress with a slight edge with the snake print, or All American/Nautical with the striped blazer or Feminine in the pastel, coral blazer. Let's talk about the Peplum Tee... I love the twist on a basic and could see myself wearing it with everything. It is simple yet different. Great piece!

3. My love for Accessories will NEVER D-I-E!! The other day I was called a 'Sunglasses Slut' by my male coworker. And he couldn't be more right! I am always trying to find a new pair. I love the sides on this House of Harlow  pair. We all love a good arm party and adding a Bow Bangle would be a fun and feminine touch. That chain ring is amazing...tough and pretty. 

What I Wore: Beating the Heat!

It has been a long and busy week.

T.G.I.F.

I am spending the day with my family and my adorable nephew! That is a FANTASTIC way to end the week and start the weekend! I hope you all have a great weekend too!

My parents live in the HEAT! It is always 15 degrees hotter in the Valley than where I live by the beach. So I know that I have to plan accordingly. This outfit was actually from Monday, when I went home to visit my two close friends. Being home twice in one week is unheard of!

I love wearing the color red and charcoal gray is a perfect complement. This outfit was easy and kept me cool.

Onto the outfit.

This is another outfit that I liked.

These pants are super comfy and SLIMMING!

They are the Old Navy version of the J. Brand Houlihan and I liked the Old Navy version better than the original...if you can believe it. I never realized how versatile this blouse is. I have worn it 3 times in 15 days (another reminder that I am behind on outfit posts). I liked mixing the feminine floral blouse with a masculine cargo pant.

So I am halfway through (6 outfits NOT posted yet) and I know that I can make it through but I am totally dreading the last week.

(My brows are going through Rehab. Seriously, that is what the waxer calls it. ONE DAY I will have perfect brows. Until then...uneven. Cool)

Gearing up for NUMBER Two!

What I Wore: Happy New Year

I wanted to start the year off right.

So I wore my favorite sweater.

And went to eat my two favorite things at Claim Jumper.

French Onion soup (no bread) and Baked Sweet Potato (no butter, brown sugar only)

I wanted to eat right and and look cute.

Mission Accomplished.

(p.s. I wore this outfit two days in a row. it was THAT comfy)

That night we headed out to see Blue Valentine at the Arclight in Hollywood.

The movie was amazingly awkward.

Acting was superb, but man, the story was tough.

It was real and gritty.

I would TOTALLY recommend the movie for many reasons, but not if you want to escape or need some love and laughter in your life.

276: OBSESSED with Taupe

I am in l-o-v-e with Kourtney's outfit...specifically her taupe jacket. I am a huge fan of flared leg jeans and I love the unexpected blend of the gray tee. She looks adorable.

The reason I love her jacket best is because I am obsessed with the color right now. Taupe is so trend right and looks good with so many colors! I knew my taupe obsession had gotten out of control when I bought three pairs of completely different looking shoes in taupe within three weeks.

The Steve Madden 'Carysa' pump

This shoe has been my FAV all season long.

I was apprehensive to buy it in such a pale color since I knew that I would trash it. But buying it 33% off changed my mind. Such a comfortable HIGH heel.

Twelve: the twins wedges

Wedges are one of the hottest style shoes to have this spring.

Last week I wrote of my love for Elizabeth and James.

Their shoe line is a HUGE reason WHY I love it.

Rachel Bilson is rocking some fun and interesting wedges from the line.

I really hope that Nordstrom buys them.

I will be the first in line!
