Some Firsts

 I originally wasn't going to blog today because I don't have outfit pics or wish lists made. I have been uninspired lately, although I have a BIG post planned for my 1000 post, which is coming up very soon! So when I saw this on my friend, through blogging and in real life, Kristen's blog I knew I had to copy!

So LUCKY readers... Here are my "Firsts".

FIRST thing I do in the morning...
- I hit snooze, fall back asleep, then grab my phone to check texts, emails and Instagram before forcing myself to get out of bed to pee and brush my teeth. I may or may not get BACK into bed after that as well.

FIRST thing I do when I get home from work...
- Now that I work from home this answer is not applicable but previously I would walk in, take off my shoes, go to the bathroom and then plop on my bed for five minutes of silence.

My FIRST kiss...
- Was at the end of 7th grade, I was 13, with my first "boyfriend". It happened under a tree in the neighborhood that he lived in. My parents moved to that neighborhood ten years later and I used to pass that spot whenever I went to visit. Awwwww, young love!  

My FIRST home...
- Well my first home as a child was in La Habra, CA. It was two bedrooms and had one bathroom. I shared a room with both my sisters. Tight quarters. My first "home" as an adult would be my condo that I live in now. I had numerous (as in 6, my dad moved me every time) apartments over the years of being on my own but this is the first that I consider "mine" because we remodeled and renovated everything. I am still decorating and will be for awhile. :/
 
My FIRST car...
- Was a 1998 Chevy Cavalier Convertible in purple. Oh yes, it was the epitome of cool. I still miss driving with the top down!

 Not my actual car but I saw this one in a parking lot and had to take a pic since it is the same style and color.

My FIRST accident traffic violation...
- I rear ended someone at a light, that was GREEN, because someone ran into the middle of the road and everyone stopped suddenly. I was listening to Britney Spears' "Baby, One more time" and was a mile away from my house. I then had to drive my mom's minivan because I wasn't old enough to drive the rental car. There is nothing cooler than driving a minivan your Junior year of High School. Lol.

The FIRST thing I wanted to be when I grew up...
- The first thing I remember distinctly is wanting to be a Fashion Designer. I went through a ream of printer paper "designing". My first sketches had boobs the size of Dolly Parton's and a waist that was teeny tiny. Even back then I had a skewed vision of the "perfect body type". 

FIRST drink of choice...
- Non Alcoholic: Ice tea with extra ice. 
- Alcoholic: A GOOD Beer

FIRST dessert of choice...
-  Oh gosh... tough choice! I would say either the 'Salty Caramel' cupcake from Sprinkles or the Creme Brulee from the Yardhouse.

FIRST choice restaurant...
- Overall: Yardhouse
- Mediterranean food: Open Sesame
- Sushi: Sushi on Fire
- Steak: Flemings
- Mexican: Javier's

FIRST song that comes to mind...
- It is always a Country song. Right now it is George Strait 'Give it all we got Tonight'.

FIRST major purchase...
- I saved my money to buy a Louis Vuitton when I went to Europe when I was 20
- I bought a Westin Heavenly bed when I moved into my beach apartment by myself after getting my first "Big Girl" job
- I bought an Infiniti G35 coupe as my first car that I bought for myself. I was 23 and making good money and STUPID! Haha.

FIRST job...
- My first job was working at a tanning salon. It was a great first job to have. I hooked my friends up!

FIRST time I flew...
- Apparently I flew at 3 months old to meet my Dad's family in Kansas City, MO and either vomited or pooped all over my Mom's white pants at the beginning of the flight. Why my mom wore white pants on a flight with an infant is beyond me (Really, mom?). The first time I remember flying was to San Francisco with my Gram when I was 9.  

FIRST "big girl" job...   
- My first "big girl" job was with Nordstrom. I worked for them for 8 years and held a variety of positions. I learned a lot. I grew up a lot. It was a priceless experience.

Today's topic is '5 Random Things you don't know about me". I have written a few posts with random facts so I decided to Vlog this post. First one and it is awkward! So hard not to critique myself. So many Umm's and I say "S's" weird which I never noticed. My mom always says I talk fast and slur words. Totally noticed that. I could go on and on but I will spare you! So take a few minutes and watch! Let me know what you think!

I was racking my brain on what I should blog about (since I didn't take any outfit pics) and then I remembered that my dear blogger buddy, Kristen, of Love, Lipstick and Pearls tagged me in her post. I have done facts about me posts (here and here) but I have never done a post where I was tagged. There is a first time for everything. And in my usual rebellious nature I will NOT be following all of the rules ;)

11 Fun Facts about Moi:

1. I have two tattoo's and want at least two more.

2. My eye liner is tattooed on. It hurt like a Bi-yotch but I'd do it again. (post)

3. I only use pencil when taking notes or writing in my planner.

4. I have had my heart broken three times.

5. I do my own manicures and have nail polish on 360 days a year.

6. I am {still} obsessed with Jessica Simpson and watch 'Newlyweds' at least once a month (or more).

7. My favorite colors are purple and leopard. My first car was a purple convertible with leopard seat covers, leopard dice, leopard steering wheel cover and leopard license plate holder. Yup...

8. I put lotion on at least once a day and refuse to get dressed after a shower without putting lotion on.

9. I have an obsession with sunglasses. I own over 20 {designer} pairs and will not go outside without them. I have been this way since High School.

- I am loyal to a fault
3. What movie(s) do you always watch when they're on tv?

- Oh gosh...so many. The Notebook, Clueless, A League of their Own, Center Stage, Pretty Woman and many more...
4. What tv show do you watch, but don't know why you do?

- Right now it is Baseball Wives. It is sick and disturbing. SOOOOO bad but I can't stop watching it.
5. What drink do you order when you're out? (Alcohol & Non-alcohol)

- Non Alcoholic: Black Ice tea, no sweetener, extra ice. Alcoholic: 99% of the time it is some kind of beer.
6. What celebrity do you think you'd be friends with if they were your neighbor?

- Jessica Simpson, Tori Spelling, Lauren Conrad and Nicole Richie
7. Would you rather attend the Oscars or the Grammys?

- Ooooo this is a hard one. I have to say Oscars because of the Fashion
8. Do you prefer regular or flaming Cheetos? Puffy or crunchy?

- Mmmmm Cheetos! Regular, crunchy is first choice. But I won't pass up puffy.
9. Do you use regular or aerosol hairspray?

- I use regular. Aerosol reminds me of my childhood.
10. Who is your favorite Harry Potter character?

-Kristen is going to HATE this answer but NONE. I haven't read the books and I didn't like the two movies i saw (please don't un-follow me)
11. If price was no bother, what one indulgence would you have? Massages, mani/pedi, spray tans, etc?

- IF price was no option I wouldn't choose and get them all once a week. Haha. But in real life, if I only had to pick one, I would get massages twice a week.

Fun Facts {2}

Happy Friday Y'all!

I wasn't going to post today but then realized it is 11/11/11.

It is supposed to be "magical" day. I need some love, luck and God after the week I have had. My life has been slightly crazy and I wasn't able to get my Fall Inspired pics or post done. Amber...I am sad to miss your link up and will do a better job to participate next month!

What better way to post when you don't have any outfit pics than to share some more fun facts. These will be kind of random but another glimpse as to who I am. :)

1. I cannot sleep with socks on. Even if I am somehow able to fall asleep they will be at the bottom of my bed when I wake up.
2. I never put my clothes away or hang them up right away. I create piles through out the week and then do a massive hang up/put away sesh when it starts to drive me bonkers.
3. I love anything banana flavored. I cannot pass it up once the B word has been said.
4. I only wash my hair twice a week.
5. I love to cuddle but cannot be touched when I am actually going to sleep. I need my space.
6. I hate not being able to accomplish something and will fight until I get it right.
7. I am a voracious reader and will read all night to finish an insanely good book. I have been this way since I was a little girl. 
8. I watch rerun's of old shows all the time. I would be lost with out my Friends and SATC DVD's.
9. Music is what I turn to no matter what I am feeling. There is always a song that I can relate to. It soothes my soul.
10. I want to start writing my personal blog again. But the task is daunting and I am not sure where I would want it to go. So it stays dormant and lonely. :(
