What I Wore: I Heart Leopard

How many of you have that old-y but goody item sitting in your closet? This leopard sweater is mine. I bought it back in 2010, from Bebe. I think it is the only thing I have ever purchased from that store. To top it off, it is part of the Kardashian collection. But I LOVE it. It is cozy, and cute and is a piece that dresses up any look. It was perfect with my jeans, black long sleeve tee and go to boots to help fight the chill. My hair was gross, what else is new, and it was cold so I wore another beanie. I love my beanies and like the contrast of the camel with the cognac of my boots. It picked up both neutral colors in my sweater. I was cozy but felt cute all day.

What I Wore: Day to Night

I am bouncing up and down on the couch as I write this post. I feel like everything came together perfectly. I guess that is what a little planning can do! I have not done a versatility post on how you can wear an outfit from day to night. When I bought this leopard jumpsuit I knew that I would have to be able to wear it more than once. It was fun playing dress up today!

Recipe for Versatility:

- Love for leopard print? Check.

- Kind of Obsessed with the Kardashian's style? Check.

- Passion for Accessories? Check.

Hands down...this is the most leopard print I have ever worn at one time. BUT this jumpsuit is so comfy. It is like wearing a chic onesie! I got some weird stares as I was running some errands today. It is safe to say that Trader Joe's wasn't ready for my style. ;) This is a piece from the Kardashian Kollection sold at Sears. I bought this piece on their pre-sale last week with NO intention of keeping it. I honestly didn't think it would fit and I was super intimidated by the large print. It is to my pleasant surprise that I actually like it! I think it will fit a tiny bit better when I lose 6 more pounds (Thank the good lord for weight watchers) but the print is actually forgiving. The material is jersey and slightly thinner than I expected. It is well made and very trend right. Even though I have many great things to say, I would NOT spend the $100 price tag, I am glad that I got it at 35% off.

Day...

Minimal accessories, flats and a cross body bag is perfect for the everyday things.

Night...

To change the look to 'smoking siren' it is all about the hair, make up and accessories.

I changed my hair to have a deep side part and pulled back one side to show off my pop of color earrings. I added a wide belt, strappy black heels and chunky bangles to dress up the jumpsuit. I found the perfect red lipstick for me and think that the color is perfect with leopard print. I also added a neutral clutch that stood out against the print instead of choosing a black bag that feels too matchy matchy!

Other outfits that I can think of pairing the jumpsuit with is a Grandpa cardigan and flip flops for the day, Blazer and pointy toe stilettos for work, All white accessories, High Bun, a pop of color from shoes or a camisole peaking through. In fact, there are many possibilities for this piece.

227: Loving SELF style

I am the oldest of three girls.

I am your typical type A, bossy, mothering older sister.

And I could not be more different from the younger two.

They are so different from each other as well. It really baffles me that we are so different, yet we all were born with such strong personalities, and we came from the same parents. I love that each one of us has our own style. Our style matches our personalities. While it drives me INSANE when my sisters pillage my bedroom, I am flattered that they love my style so much.

When I saw this pic of the Kardashian's, I had to smile.

Each sister is dressed so differently yet showcasing who they are. And I know that if my sisters and I were to be photographed by the paparazzi, people would think the same thing about us!

Staying true to yourself, including your style, is timeless!

I am SO bummed that I missed the season 5 KUWTK season opener last night (but not too sad knowing that it will be playing all week long. Haha)

This family brings such enjoyment to the small screen. I thoroughly enjoy all that they do!

Meeting the Kardashians

In honor of...

Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami

Season Two starting tonight.

{Jacy(Nordy's buyer), Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Katie(Regional Mgr) and me(Regional Mgr)}

In April I was able to support one of my closest friends by helping her run the Kardashian event for their Virgins, Saints and Angels Jewelry line at Nordstrom Fashion Island. The girls agreed to do a personal appearance for the line since Nordstrom and their stores Dash are the only stores to be carrying the line.

The girls came and signed autographs for about two hours before the Fire Marshall was called to close down the event because of how many people were there. It was INSANE. People are bizarre and say the weirdest things to celebs. After working the event, meeting the girls and helping to get them out of the store I know that I could NOT live a celebrity lifestyle. They would have been mobbed without security.

The girls are teeny tiny, gorgeous and super nice.

Especially Khloe.

I LOVE the girls style and they often end up in many of my posts.

It was great to meet people that I admire and not be disappointed.

One hundred AND nine: J Brand 'Houlihan' cargo skinny pants

On the first season of Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, I fell in love with a pair of capri cargos in Olive green. Jessica wore them with a pale pink tube top and wedges. I found a pair that were very similar at Old Navy...And I just retired them last year (yes, 7 years later. HEY! They still fit too.) I have seen many celebs wearing the J Brand 'Houlihan' cargo skinnies. And I think I love them just as much as my beloved Old Navy pair. I have blogged multiple time about my love for Olive green. I just keep adding to the list.
