I have a big weekend ahead of me. One of my bestest is getting married!

I am so excited for her and I just know that the wedding is going to be beautiful. Hopefully I will be getting a couple outfit shoots in!

This look makes a statement with just two pieces. If it isn't a maxi dress than I am pulling on a maxi skirt (or my cutoffs but I am sure you are sick of seeing those if you follow me on Instagram). I love how flattering this skirt is. The chevron gives me shape and pairing it with a drapey tank means that I have room to breathe! I threw on flat studded sandals and a basic pendant.

What I Wore: Snakey

Well, well, well.

 This look was quite popular with y'all on Instagram.

Which made me SO happy because I am kind of obsessed with it. It is seriously so cute but comfy. I love that!

I think that kimonos can be harder to wear. You have to be careful of the length, where it hits on your body and that it is not too oversized. I am wearing a small/medium and I have never worn that size. I am a HUGE lover of animal print, especially in neutral colors. This piece was a no brainer. I think I have at least 6 pairs of cut offs at this point. I wear them almost daily. I wore  flip flops with the look to run errands and threw on the wedges for dinner. Super versatile!

Happy Monday, my friends!

Today I am starting a month long gig back at Nordstrom. WHAT???? I swore I wouldn't go back. Never say never! Haha. I was asked to help out for the Anniversary sale and it was too good of a gig to pass up. I am going to DIE waking up at 6am for the next few weeks. I have definitely gotten used to my princess, work from home, schedule. Wish me luck!

This was the perfect outfit for running around the beach, following my nephew and niece around. I love camo print ESPECIALLY when it has a pretty gold star on it! My cut offs are just a go to. I did a little print mixing with my leopard print sandals. The look was cute and easy.

I don't know about you but the weeks are flying by! I cannot keep up with everything and I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it is the SECOND week of April! AAAGGGHHHH! I have a lot of fun stuff coming up in the next two months including Stagecoach Country Music Festival out in Palm Springs, my birthday, a wedding for one of my bestest friends and a bachelorette party. I kicked my workout and diet regimen into HIGH gear on Friday. I want to lose 8-10 pounds in the next month so I am one disciplined woman. That also means that every thing I cannot/will not eat, I have now begun to crave. WHYYY??? Haha. Do you all have some fun stuff planned that you are looking forward to? I am sure that I have mentioned that going to concerts or live shows is pretty much one of my favorite things to do. Ever. I am such a music lover and it really helps soothe my soul. On Friday I got to see a friend sing at a local coffee shop/art gallery. It was fun and intimate. Just what I needed to end my week/start my weekend. I got into the spirit and busted out an OLD concert tee, some distressed denim and my favorite heels. This is a look that I honestly feel the sexiest in. Simple, fun, casual.

I love my BF jeans. I do. I may not love them as much as my skinnies but I do love the comfy-ness and ease when wearing them. I do have a harder time wearing more masculine pieces at times. So I ALWAYS wear heels or wedges when I wear them. Haha.

I think that this outfit is the perfect example of how you can take basic, kind of sloppy pieces and make them look somewhat chic. I am pretty obsessed with this watercolor, floral scarf by FRAAS! I tied the ends together to create a drapey look. I wanted the scarf to be the focal point and to be the piece to dress up the jeans. I went with a neutral pair of shoes with a chunky heel to keep the look somewhat funky. I wore my favorite earrings in turquoise to match the scarf. SInce my hair was up they totally make a statement. The filagree bracelets are flirt and girly to tie the whole look together. I really love this look. A lot.

Three days in a row of outfit posts! Yes! I am on a roll!

This outfit was ended up being more fun than I expected. I LOVED pairing the polka dots together. I feel like the scarf totally complimented the sweater since it was opposite in coloring and the dots even had shades of camel in them. I am usually drawn towards darker jeans (more slimming in my opinion) but I thought that a lighter pair made the look a little more Springy. Since everything else was so neutral I liked having a slight pop of color from the burgundy heels. I kept the jewelry simple. My hair was dirty so the bun was my only option. I HAD to wear the sunnies because I wasn't wearing make up. Haha. And I chose to put on some burgundy lipstick to tie in the shoes and "look" like I was more pulled together than I was. ;)

Happy Monday y'all!

I had quite the busy weekend full of LOTS of quality friend time. And you know what? It was so so so needed. I am so incredibly blessed and thankful for the people that have been placed in my life. From girls night, to hikes overlooking the coast, dinner in a bar wearing Uggs and a sweatshirt and then a Bridal Shower for a friend that I have known since I was 7 years old, I was reminded that I know SO many women who feed my soul and just get me! As busy as the weekend was, it truly fed my soul. My heart is really happy!

This outfit is seriously my new favorite. It is my favorite for two reasons. The first reason being is that I realized something important about myself while wearing it. :) The second is that I love how effortlessy cool and chic it is. I swear I am in love with how a simple V Neck tee and Leather jacket look. Paired with some polka dot skinnies the look is perfect. I kept my jewelry simple and actually wore flats. I ran around in this all day.

I cannot believe I am going to say this but I am glad that it is back to being a "normal" week. After Tahoe, Christmas and New Years my days and weeks have had me so confused! 

I have had a lot of time to really think the past few weeks and I have a lot running through my mind. All good things of course! The only thing that I will mention is that I find it interesting how "perception is reality" so often in life. Especially here in blog land! I may share a lot over the internet, open my heart, give you a peak into my daily life BUT I do keep a lot of things to myself and I most definitely cherish my personal relationships. I try to keep family, friends and the people I date OFF the blog until given permission from them, and even then I am wary. So just remember that everything you read or see here is only a snippet of what my life is really like. And my current relationship has not made it onto the blog. Pictures can be deceiving ;)

Alright, onto the outfit! I threw this interesting look together for lunch with Nikki last week. I was SO EXCITED to meet up with another blogger that I have connected with through our blogs. We had a great lunch and I look forward to hanging out again soon! I have been so blessed by the people that I have met through blogging that it makes everything worth it! This sweater is one of my favorites even though it is almost TOO over sized to wear anymore. When I got dressed in my somewhat dark room, the stripes in the sweater looked more gray and I thought that pairing it with my gray jeans would be a perfect complement. Seeing the look in the light, I am not so sure. Haha. I threw on my burgundy heels because I liked the navy, gray combo. It was an easy and comfortable look that is a little interesting. This is proof that your vision doesn't always turn out the way you plan!

Nothing says the Holiday Season like Christmas Plaid.

I have a well known love affair with plaid and I have been searching HIGH and LOW for the perfect combo of red, green and white. And what do you know... One of my favorite places to shop, Old Navy, had one TWO perfect color combos that I loved!

I will take any excuse to wear my Shoemint heels. I wanted to dress up my plaid shirt and the burgundy heels were a perfect complement to the plaid color scheme. I think that a dark wash skinny jean is a must have in any wardrobe and they can dress up any look. I think I accomplished a dressier look even with a plaid, masculine-esque shirt.

5 Things I Cannot Live With Out {right now}

I think it is bizarre how some weeks I have so much to blog/write about and others I am scratching my head trying to pull something together. This week was not even that busy. My mind is on other things and a certain someone.

I have been reading some blogs and have noticed a lot of 5 Random Things, 5 Favorite Things and other variations. I have done a couple posts about random facts about me in the past so I am putting a little twist on this post and jumping on the bandwagon.

I get how she falls fast and loves hard. I am the same way.

What I Wore: Ways to Wear

Happy Monday!

I am so excited to blog today because I have been DYING to show you all these pants. Last week's leopard print dress post was quite popular with you all and I am hoping you like this look just as much. I have been lusting over these pants since seeing The Budget Babe's Instagram Fall Preview pics back in June! I love anything leopard print and knew that I had to have these the moment I saw them. My friend, Amber over at Real Girl Glam, LOVES leopard as much as I do and I knew that she would have to have these pants as well. I asked her to post with me about how to wear these pants. We actually styled them very similarly (I shouldn't be surprised since we have similar taste)! Maybe I can talk her into a couple more posts were we challenge ourselves and each other to wear show how versatile these pants can be!

I knew that I wanted my look to be a littler dressier than normal. This is a look that I would wear on a dinner date, for a special occasion or a Holiday. I use a dark lip and accessories to make my outfit look a little sassier. I hardly ever wear lipstick so when it is on you know that I am trying a little bit harder. Haha. The cowl neck of the shirt gives the basic black some pop and I think looks fancier. It was perfect for showing off my Statement necklace, which I think completes the look. I am OBSESSED with these pumps and I am SO glad that I bought them. I have worn them THREE times since Wednesday. Since they are the color of the season I knew that wearing the same color lip would complement and make the color stand out with such a bold print. 
Just an FYI, I hemmed the pants an inch so that the hit above my ankle instead of at my ankle. It helped elongate my legs!

Speaking of accessories, I want to talk a minute about my jewelry. I know that I am late to the game but I attended my first Stella and Dot party. I am obsessed. I found ten things that I had to have, couldn't live with out, wanted so bad! I know, I am a bit dramatic. I was super impressed with the quality but most importantly I LOVED the designs.
