Fashionista Friday: Zoe Saldana

I have been style crushing on Zoe Saldana for awhile now. She is a starlet that flies under the radar. She rocks some amazing pieces and is simply gorgeous. I love that she takes risks, remember her ombre Givenchy dress at the Academy Awards that you either LOVED or LOATHED? I am a huge fan and always take notice when I seed a picture of her.

 This Lanvin dress is perfection. the color, the cut, the draping. To. Die. For.

 Rocking the jumpsuit in Olive. Looks amazing and comfy. My fav combo!

 You can NEVER go wrong with black, white and sequins, NEVER!

I love the sweater, skinnies and wedges. She mixed prints and accessorized to perfection.

 She even wears what the masses wear! This dress has been HIGHLY editorialized and has been seen on every celeb. It is from Express. She wore it better than everyone too! The cognac belt and shoes make the outfit. I love that she wore big earrings and slicked back hair. That is my trick for not looking like a boy. hehe

 Neutral palette and an awesome scarf. I love the details of the skirt.

Truly obsessed with the metallic colors of the dress. I also really want that belt. 

 

The many ways to wear Leather or {faux} Leather

Leather is being used in every silhouette these days.

Shirts, pants, jackets and even dresses.

It is no longer considered "dominatrix" it is an every day fabrication that is being rocked in so many different outfits.

These leather pieces are worn on the red carpet, out to a nice dinner or even running errands around town.

I love the cropped jackets worn by Jenna Dewan Tatum and Kim Kardashion.

Jenna's toughens up a more classic outfit and I love the drapiness of Kim's look.

Lauren Conrad and Nicole Richie both used jackets to dress up a going out outfit.

Lauren's outfit is one of my favs! I love the color of her dress and her hair is amazing. Her shoes and jacket really compliment AND complete the look.

Nicole pairs her jacket with an all black ensemble, letting her shoes take center stage.

Rachel Bilson and Zoe Saldana each wear a jacket that zips across the chest giving the jacket an interesting detail. Worn with a maxi skirt or skinny jeans makes the jacket super versatile.

Leather or faux Leather leggings seem to be the pant of choice. Ashley and Lauren wear them in a more casual way. JLo chose leather shorts. I am OBSESSED with this whole look! It is amazing. Plus the shoes are AWESOME. Leather and Leopard is the perfect combination :)

Fashionista Friday: Floral fixation

Fashionista Friday is usually dedicated to one stylish woman that I love. But this week I want to focus on Floral dresses on women I love.

The wrap style is flattering for any figure and the print is like art. LOVE!

Zoe Saldana has been a huge stylista and pretty much everything she wears I need to have.

I think that this dress had the potential to be really stuffy and prom like. But it looks amazing on her and in the way it was styled for her Self Magazine shoot.

I needed to include an everyday dress and I think that the shirt dress is an easy piece to include in any wardrobe. The colors are fun and look great on people with a cool complexion. Jess looks young, pretty and flirty. Everything florals should be.

Ninety two: Knock it off

There are so many jackets that are "inspired by" Chanel. In my last post I showed a gorgeous Chanel tweed jacket. Authentic AND expensive. Working for a large retailer I see some kind of tweed jacket incarnation by every designer out there. I have yet to buy one because I feel like I am cheating on Coco. And if I can afford a peice of Chanel a jacket would be the first clothing article that I would buy.

Browsing the web I saw this picture of Zoe Saldana and I loved her outfit. She has on a darling tweed jacket and jean combo. She looks polished and put together. And there you have one more example of how to mix highs and lows to create a personal style.

66: Neutral dresses

The trends for Spring 2010 have been so fun to shop for.

The neutral color palette is so easy to incorporate.

There are so many things that I still want (need?) to buy.

A flirty dress in nude is high on my list.
