Let's go back to 1991. I was 9 years old and we were visiting my dad's family in Greeley, Colorado. I got to meet my cousin, who is three months older, and who shares the same middle and last name as me. I adored her and I wanted to be like her. She wore glasses, and I wanted to as well. I even tried to fail my next three eye exams. But I always had 20/20 vision.
Fast Forward to 2011. 20 years later.
(That alone is Cray Cray).
I noticed that I couldn't see the lettering on signs as quickly as others. I go to have an eye exam. Lo and Behold my vision isn't so perfect anymore.
I needed glasses.
I was S-T-O-K-E-D.
You see, I had been saving pictures of celebs in frames that I wanted, for months. So many of my favorite bloggers wear glasses, real or non prescription, in many of their posts. And to be honest, a small childhood dream was coming true.
(I am highly aware that I sound like a weirdo, roll with it.)

I have had this pic of Lauren saved on my iPhone since July. I knew that this was the frame I had to have IF I ever needed glasses. I didn't know that glasses would be in my near future.
I got pretty, darn close.
(Let's take a moment to recognize how much BETTER my eyebrows look a month and a half later. Newer pic is on the right. YES...Eyebrow rehab is working.)
