What I Wore: Birthday Outfit

My love affair with neon coral is at an all time high. So what else would I choose to wear when picking out an outfit to wear for my Birthday Celebration(s). I have had a few celebrations this past week. It is so nice to have so many incredible people that want to recognize my special day. I wore this look out for drinks with the girls and then I wore the blouse with dark denim and these heels to dinner on my actual birthday (May 14). I think that this shirt is going to get a lot of wear! I may have to buy it in pink too! It is that comfy and yet looks dressy and expensive!

My favorite looks to wear in the Springtime is long sleeves, shorts and a wedge or sassy heels. I love to stay covered up on top while showing off my legs. I also love to mix dressier pieces with more casual pieces. Since these shorts are very casual, and destroyed, I balanced out the look with sky high wedges. Simple jewelry was the best way to complete the look. I am not sure that I am digging the length of these shorts... I may cut them a couple of inches shorter! If there is one look that I think defines me and my style, this may be it.

What I wore: Stripes and Cognac

Some days the easiest thing to throw on is a dress. Sometimes it really amazes me that one article of clothing makes an outfit. I was extremely thankful yesterday morning when I didn't want to even think about what to wear. I was able to get dressed in two minutes flat and look pulled together for work without trying.

I have worn this Stylemint dress a couple of times (last seen here) and I fall a little more in love each time I wear it. It is loose enough to eat and breath, it is thick enough that I don't worry about every bump and lump showing and it is long enough to show some leg while still being work appropriate. I wanted to wear this dress belted and with wedges to give the dress a slightly dressier edge. My new Michael Kors sunnies were the perfect accessory to complete this all American look.

What I Wore: Seventies Inspired

II do not know when 1/3 of my closet turned out to be Gap products. I have gotten some amazing deals (I NEVER buy stuff from the Gap at full price. EVER!) and they carry some great pieces to complete a wardrobe. Their jeans fit me so well and I feel comfortable in them. Plus I get more compliments on my Gap jeans then my premium denim.

Anyways...

This outfit is comfy but still looks somewhat put together.

I really liked the cognac brown of the shoes against the gray jeggings!

 I had a lazy hair day and tried the Bun Tutorial from Sydney at The Daybook.

I loved the way it turned out even though I do not have a close up pic!

Miu Miu makes the most outstanding shoes.

Every season there is always one pair that is special and stands out.

I have had my eye on these babies for awhile.

My favorite thing about these shoes is the color. I am drawn to anything that is in that ox blood red color.

AND not only is it the perfect red BUT it is sparkly.

I was sold there alone.

But I also love that it is a menswear inspired silhouette with all of the girliest details.

I especially love the ankle strap.

Someone PLEASE Buy them! Or I will have to...

I love that LC and Lo have been besties since high school!

Lauren really is my favorite right now. She can do no wrong in my book. The top pic is Lauren attending the Kings of Leon concert and the bottom is her hosting a fashion show at the US open last weekend.

Both outfits showcase her California style.

I love living in Cali and all that it encompasses (born, raised, til I die).

In both outfits she is wearing very basic peices. The one commonality is that she is wearing Miu Miu in both pictures. Her bag in the top and her shoes on the bottom. I have blogged about these shoes NUMEROUS times. And I am so happy to share that I FINALLY bought them in black AND natural on eBay. I am so excited.

I mentioned a couple of days ago that I am obsessd with her hair. See...my favorite :)

140: Poised and Pretty

The first thing that comes to my mind when I see a picture of Lo Bosworth is Sophisticated. She has such a grace and her clothing choices are timeless. I love that she finds what works for her instead of going after every trend. She has an insane Louboutin collection and she appears to have every color metal that Ray Ban has to offer. She is the voice of reason on The Hills. I am also obsessed with her ponytails. How does she get such volume on top? I WISH I could get my hair to do that!

P.S. The outfit in the picture on the right is my favorite. I would copy it in a heartbeat if I knew what each piece was made by. I do know that the shoes are Miu Miu. They have them on eBay and I keep talking myself out of buying them. Even though I have had a sick obsession with them for over a year!

Ninety seven: i dream of summer

During the summer my uniform usually consists of dresses and rompers withe some kind of wedge shoe. I will occasionally wear cut off shorts when I am going for more of a boho look. This picture of Tori Spelling is exactly what I strive to look like. 

I think that her dress is adorable. I love when people tie their leather belts. I am still working on my mid section and have not been able to tie my belts yet. Tori is wearing the Miu Miu wedge that I plan to rock this summer.
