Happy Friday, friends!

Just wanted to pop on really quickly to share some items that I am currently crushing on. I have been online browsing shopping and these pieces all need to make their way into my closet. Asap!

I am headed out to celebrate one of my BFF's birthdays and headed to a concert. The usual! Haha. Hope you all have an incredible weekend!

Lush Lace Inset Kimono

 Kimonos are the easiest thing to throw on and I love the detailing in this one! You can wear it with any color shirt and it will look good! I would size down on this piece as a lot of fabric can overwhelm your body and make it look larger than you are! I bought this in the small/medium! 

Michael Kors 'Blake' bracelet watch

  I have been dying to buy a new watch. I am loving emerald and the face of this watch is gorgeous! Plus emerald is my birth stone so I feel like I have a special bond to it. Haha. I love the simplicity and the crystals in place of numbers.

Old Navy Coated Skinnies

 Coated denim is all the rage, this season. I don't like to spend a ton of money on really trendy pieces. I have been a fan of Old Navy denim for a long time. These fit great, I did NOT size up like the reviews say online. I tried on my normal Old Navy size and they fit perfectly.

Old Navy Chiffon Printed Blouse

 Who doesn't love neutrals and animal print? I know I am a sucker! This blouse is so perfect for Fall and very versatile. I can picture so many outfits in my head wearing this pretty blouse!

Rubbish Woven Henley

 Another basic to add to your closet. I am always looking for the perfect blouse to throw on. This is woven and not a tee, which I LOVE. Throw on a scarf and you will look super polished and cute!

Steve Madden 'Xplicit'

 Perfect. Black. Wedges.

Need I say more? Ok, I will. This is a very similar style to the nude wedges I have worn over and over and over again. You can dress these up or down. They look good with dresses, shorts, jeans, anything. I think everyone needs to own these!

What I Wore: Snakey

Well, well, well.

 This look was quite popular with y'all on Instagram.

Which made me SO happy because I am kind of obsessed with it. It is seriously so cute but comfy. I love that!

I think that kimonos can be harder to wear. You have to be careful of the length, where it hits on your body and that it is not too oversized. I am wearing a small/medium and I have never worn that size. I am a HUGE lover of animal print, especially in neutral colors. This piece was a no brainer. I think I have at least 6 pairs of cut offs at this point. I wear them almost daily. I wore  flip flops with the look to run errands and threw on the wedges for dinner. Super versatile!

Happy Tuesday!

I am headed up to visit my family and host a Stella and Dot show for my mom and sister's friends! I am so excited to show off the amazing jewelry! Plus I get to spend time with the cutest bebe's in the world! It is a total win win for me! I have so many exciting things going on in my life and I will be sharing them with you as they happen! So stay tuned!

I am in my Summer Uniform, shocking, I know! I was a little scared to wear this dress because of the overall large print BUT I ended up LOVING it. I think that this dress is really flattering and it is soft and kind of silky. Clearly I am obsessed with all my Kiki La'Rue purchases lately! And I am totally NOT biased at all. For reals! Just straight up LOVE! I paired it with matchy matchy jewelry. The earrings were the exact blue of the dress and the chevron necklace matched the print. Haha. Dirty hair = Pony tail. Plus over-sized glasses always make a look seem more glamorous. LOVED this outfit.

What I Wore: Sunday Best

I am constantly growing and changing.

I LOVE to learn. I am forever going to be working on myself in an effort to always be the best version of me. I am also extremely critical of myself, I can be very mean to myself and could always use a boost of self esteem. I have made some incredible decisions in my life (leaving my career, losing weight) and made some extremely BAD decisions (mostly when it comes to men). I have a hard time forgiving myself and I realized that it is affecting my growth in relationships. I had a conversation last week that really left me convicted (and I don't feel like that often) and got me thinking. I need to make some changes in my life, again, and finally forgive. Forgiveness is powerful, it has to do more with yourself than the other person(s). I am on my way to being able to open up again. It is freeing.

 Since I had all of these thoughts going on in my head I decided it was time to head back to church. I haven't been a regular church goer in years. I am apprehensive but know it is what I need. I went by myself. I do most things by myself so this isn't unusual or a major feat for me! I error-ed on being a little dressier for church. Black blouse, black dressier shorts and a jacket. I was over dressed (this isn't unusual for me wither. Haha). But I looked cute and felt good about myself so that's all that matters! And I will dress more casual next week! ;)

What I Wore: The Chosen Dress

Happy Monday, friends.

I hope that you all had a great weekend. I definitely had a better weekend after my tough week. Thank you so much for your sweet comments and tweets. I will be responding today or tomorrow! Life is not always easy breezy but I am learning how to focus on the positive and not be led by my emotions. :)

I mentioned that I was headed to a wedding on Friday evening. The wedding was gorgeous and I had the BEST time ever. Seriously, it was so nice to let loose, have a few drinks and dance it out with my life long girlfriends. PLUS, it always puts me in a good mood to celebrate true love!

If you follow me on Instagram then you already know that I chose the blue dress for my wedding attire. I want to tell you why! While the fit flare dress is adorable, I felt like it was almost too much on the casual side. Yes I could dress it up but the fabrication and the styling just wasn't 'dressy' enough for what I was looking for. The BCBG dress looks a little more sophisticated, the color is just incredible and I loved the draping. I feel like this dress was better suited for my body type, showcasing my best features. This dress is on the shorter side which shows off my legs which is one of my better assets. It shows very a small amount of cleavage but covers the shoulders which keeps the top mostly covered up. I love that there are two extra pieces that drape in an "X" across the body. The "X" crosses at my smallest point creating the illusion that I have a waist (being an apple shape means that I need to wear clothing that gives me a waist). I wore a nude heel that makes my legs look longer than they are. I kept my jewlery very simple. I also created a deep side part, waves and pulled back one side of my hair to change up my look a little. I think it all came together well.

This is what happens when you just don't care what you look like. Haha.

I ran out the door to meet my BFF for lunch and to run errands together. It was gloomy and a bit chilly. I didn't feel like doing my hair or putting on make up. Let's just blame it on a case of the Monday Blues after a great weekend!

It is another day and I am a little more cheerful than yesterday. Haha!

Nothing has really changed, I mean it's only been a day, but after a great Yoga sesh (where I may or may not have fallen in love. LOL) and dinner with my girlfriend, I am on the up and up. Plus I watched way more TV, The Biggest Loser and The Bachelor, which gave me some weird inspiration. All I have to say is that I am a huge fan of Sean and I am thankful that I am not on that show. Holy Bananas there are some cray cray girls! Is anyone else watching? 

I have had this blouse for months and wear it all of the time, yet I don't think it has made an appearance on the blog. I paired it with my gray denim because I really like the combo together. I am having a total love affair with strappy heels. I think that they are so sexy. I picked up this pair after Christmas to replace a CHEAP pair that I bought in college for a Sorority Formal that I wore to death. Since these are flat leather I think I can dress them up or down. I also busted out my fancy Stella and Dot earrings just because (I am going to show them off in an Instagram pic sometime today). This was the perfect look for work and I love how it came together.

What I Wore: Winter Date Night

I love how quickly the week passes by when there is a Holiday in the middle of it. I cannot believe it is the weekend again, but I am not complaining. I have big plans of cleaning, working out and watching some football! Throw in a nap or two and some laziness and I have a fabulous weekend ahead! 

I was planning on doing a Coffee Date/Hang out sesh post again but I ran out of time! When I do those posts I want them to be really thought out and hearfelt. Next week!! Thanks to all of your kind words about the post/series!

I realized that I haven't shown a date night look now that temperatures are in the forties here in So Cal (at night). I wore this out this week. As I am sure you have noticed, overall I am a pretty simple dresser. I tend to lean towards black or beige on "dressier" occasions. This look is no different. I like to look put together, but not too fussy. I generally base my look around the shoes and let my shoes be the focus. I am obsessing over these strappy nude heels and will rock the heck out of them even in the cold. I love that the stand out from the all dark ensemble. Dark denim and a black blouse covered by my "guy friendly" leather jacket and I am ready to go.

What I Wore: Snow Day

I knew that it was going to be cold in Tahoe. But I still wasn't prepared. I am not a huge fan of the cold BUT I was super excited to layer, wear boots and scarves. We have spent most of our days indoors while it has been snowing. I am not used to so much down time. But I am being forced to relax and that isn't a bad thing.

I planned all of my outfits for the trip to have a "Christmasy" feel. Lots of red, green and neutrals. I bought this sweater after seeing it on the @TargetDoesItAgain Instagram a few weeks ago. I bought it two sizes larger than my normal size so that it would be loose and kind of drapy. These jeans have been a go to pair and I am about to buy them in a size smaller since they are getting loose. :) I LOVE these boots and while I have worn them a few times this is the first time that they are making an appearance on the blog. I LOVE wearing fun socks, especially when they peak out a little bit. I used the scarf to tie the whole look together.

Ninety Two...What?

It is official...

There are only 92 days left in 2012.

Yup... Wow!

The only reason that freaks me out is that I know that I only have three months left to hit my goal weight. Holy Hell! 20 pounds in three months, during Holiday Season, is quite a daunting task. I revealed in my last post that I was going Gluten Free for the month of October to see if it will make a difference in how I feel, my weight loss and my overall health. I have not been told I have Celiac's disease, nor have I been checked for it. I just know how my body processes certain types of foods and complex carbohydrates are not my friend. Today is DAY ONE. Wish me luck!

A couple weeks ago I revealed that I would be starting a new job (part time) as a Project Manger for Pollinate Media Group. I wanted to thank everyone for the congrats emails, tweets and comments. I am so excited to take on a new project in an area that I am passionate about and have the opportunity to work with so many bloggers and GREAT companies. I start training today and I am just so beyond excited!!

I know that I am not a "big time" blogger by any stretch of the imagination BUT I reached 200 Google Friend Connect followers.

I am seriously beyond flattered that anyone besides my mom cares to read what I write, follow along on my fitness journey, want my opinion on dating and likes to see how I present myself through personal style. I have been blogging for over four years, in fact this blog's third birthday is in a couple weeks, and I love having this outlet to share my heart and connect. A huge THANK YOU to each and everyone of you. I have been so blessed through blogging and it is because of you.
(And I feel like I just gave an Oscar speech. Haha. Is that lame?)

What I Wore: Inspired By

Before Pinterest I saved hundreds and hundreds of pictures on my computer. Pictures of celebrities, editorials, quote pics from MySpace days and so much more. I love going through them from time to time, looking back at trends. The first year of this blog focused on Designers, Celebrity Style and beautiful pieces that I loved. It has obviously grown and changed a lot in the last {almost} three years. Now that this blog is a documentation of my personal style I love seeing the old pics and posts of my celebrity fascination and creating looks that are relevant today.

When I put together today's outfit I realized that I had seen it somewhere before. I wanted to think that this look was a fun creation of my own, but it is not. I had seen something similar on Kourtney Kardashian a couple of years ago. I even wrote this post about it. It made me laugh when I realized that I had purchased pieces that I have been lusting over for two years! Some things just never go out of style. My friend Alissa texted me a pic of this jacket about a month ago and told me that I NEEDED it. I finally broke down and bought it last week. Then I ran into Old Navy to return a couple of things and saw this tank. I can never turn down leopard print anything AND this is a basic for any wardrobe. I threw on a pair of my cut offs (which I think I need to cut a little shorter) and my cognac gladiator sandals. Some gold jewelry polished off the look. The perfect Summer work outfit, well for my job at least.

What I Wore: One Shirt...Two Ways

I have to admit, being fashionable or stylish ALL of the time is daunting. I am definitely someone who wears the same pieces over and over again. Instead of only taking pictures of the best outfit I decided to show you two ways I wore the same top. I love the ombre top and have had a lot of fun pairing it with color.

The first look is from last Friday. I wore this to my friend's 30th Birthday party at Lucky Strike Bowling Alley. It was cute but still appropriate to bowl in. I still love my red skinnies and think that red ALWAYS looks good with black and gray. The second look is what I wore to work yesterday. Basic dark denim shorts paired with fuschia heels was the perfect complement to the tee. The shoes pulled the whole look together and made a statment.
