What I Wore: Birthday Outfit

My love affair with neon coral is at an all time high. So what else would I choose to wear when picking out an outfit to wear for my Birthday Celebration(s). I have had a few celebrations this past week. It is so nice to have so many incredible people that want to recognize my special day. I wore this look out for drinks with the girls and then I wore the blouse with dark denim and these heels to dinner on my actual birthday (May 14). I think that this shirt is going to get a lot of wear! I may have to buy it in pink too! It is that comfy and yet looks dressy and expensive!

My favorite looks to wear in the Springtime is long sleeves, shorts and a wedge or sassy heels. I love to stay covered up on top while showing off my legs. I also love to mix dressier pieces with more casual pieces. Since these shorts are very casual, and destroyed, I balanced out the look with sky high wedges. Simple jewelry was the best way to complete the look. I am not sure that I am digging the length of these shorts... I may cut them a couple of inches shorter! If there is one look that I think defines me and my style, this may be it.

What I Wore: Pop Color and Snake

Happy Monday err, I mean, Tuesday!
I want to make sure and send my prayers and condolences to the City of Boston and the victims of yesterday's tragedy. It broke my heart to know that our country has another tragedy to overcome and to know that so many people are hurting!

I have NOT been in a blogging mood at all. No real reason why. I think my focus has been on work and my fitness. It is consuming me! Hopefully I will get some mojo back! I have been pinning for some inspiration and I have some cute outfits planned. Thanks for sticking with me through yet, another, dry spell!

I wore this outfit for date night. It is pretty simple. Silk blouse, skinny jeans and snake-print stilettos. I accented with gold accessories. I love the orange with the neutral print. I like how the look pulled together. Plus I felt sexy!

What I Wore: Chambray Pants

You guys!

When I find something that I LOVE I have to share it with you. I mean, I must! I picked up these pants at Target the other day. Chambray and Boot cut, I had NOTHING like them in my closet. I think that they are the perfect pair of pants for Spring! I am obsessed with Chambray anything because of the versatility of the color/fabrication.I rolled them up to wear with sandals but they are long enough to be worn a little dressier with wedges. They are so comfy. Plus I forgot how flattering boot cut can be (I LOVE my skinnies and extreme flares. Boot Cut has not been worn in at least 2 years! Craziness!). I imagine wearing these pants with a strappy white embroidered tank, or with a sheer white button up and a fedora. So many ideas for these new pants!

I paired the pants with my go to tee. Are you sick of seeing this tee in every color variation yet? For $8... It really is a no brainer. I recently picked it up in a neon coral and pastel stripe. And I own multiples in white and gray. Since the tee is so plain, and the pants are plain I sassed up the look with a scarf and bold gold accessories. Simple, yet chic.

What I Wore: Aztec Love

My love for Aztec print continues.

When I saw this sweater on Laura of Ascot Friday and my friend, Heather, I knew I had to have it! It is oversized, voluminous and so cozy chic. I paired it with basics and neutrals. I liked the contrast of the cognac boots with the darker pieces. The beanie was a must. Dirty hair plus COLD weather equals added warmth! And once again my Lisa Leonard 'Chevron' necklace is a perfect match! I love this whole look (even though, once again, NOT slimming!).

What I Wore: Not the Most Flattering

 I will be the first to admit that this outfit is not flattering and does nothing for my body. But it is cozy, comfy and like wearing a blanket. Since I went back to work yesterday, was in a crappy mood, not feeling well and sad that Christmas/Vacation is over I felt this outfit was justified. Ha! I adore the colors in this sweater and I think pairing it with the cognac boots was pure perfection. I also think that my new necklace looks PERFECT with this sweater. I am kind of smitten. Happy Monday!

I can say that since I am typing by the fire, watching the snow fall knowing that I don't have to go to work tomorrow. Sorry to brag ;)

But this is only the second White "Christmas" that I will have had in my 30 years. I will actually be home in So Cal, celebrating Christmas Eve and Day with OUT my family for the first time ever! So my Holiday is not normal but I am really excited for the changes. Let's just say I will be cooking my first Holiday meals. Scary! 

I spent Saturday doing my last minute Christmas Shopping, cleaning my house, actually decorating my house with updated pictures and frames and packing. It was crazy busy. This is what I threw on to run my errands. I know that it is shocking that I am wearing a flannel. Haha. Worn with my go to Rockstar skinnies and Cognac boots. This outfit isn't very creative or anything you haven't seen on the blog before. Adding the beanie was purely to cover my dirty hair, not to make the outfit cute or different. :p
