Coffee Date/Hang Out Sesh

It is the weekend!
YAY!!!!

If we were having coffee this week I would tell you...

- My work with Pollinate Media Group has really picked up and it has kept me super busy AND very happy. I love being able to do work for them and it is fun and fulfilling! I also have a couple other side jobs happening in the next week. So I have put the job hunt on a hiatus for the moment. If I stay busy with these projects than I don't need another job! Woot Woot! So keep that in your prayers because it would be a dream!

- I have stepped up my diet and exercise regimen. A LOT! I am now working out 6x a week, 1 1/2-2 hours a day. I have tightened up my diet a lot, I am back on my meal replacement shakes for one meal a day and I am juicing a couple meals a week as well. I am already starting to see results, thankfully because this is a big change from my maintenance that I had been doing.

- I am so BEYOND excited for Stagecoach Music Festival in two weeks. I bought a couple bikinis (Push up bandeau top and the cheeky low rise bottom in a solid and print) to wear at the pool before we head over to the polo fields for the concerts. I may pick up a new sundress but I haven't even looked around for one yet. I just cannot wait to be in Palm Springs (one of my most favorite getaway places EVER) hanging out and relaxing with my friends! We booked an AMAZING hotel bungalow type thing so I am prepared to have an incredible time!

- Dating has been good lately. I cannot complain. :) I also will not share much because a girl has to keep some things private. PLUS I don't like to jinx things. Haha. I am weird. I get it!

- I have really been missing my family, especially the babies! I am probably not going to see them until the middle of May and that is just depressing. I feel so thankful for FaceTime and cell phone pics.

- I am hoping to spend some time with friends, get in a couple good work outs, maybe hit up an Angels Baseball game and who knows what else this weekend!

What is new with all of you? Anything fun/exciting/amazing to share with me? I love hearing about all of you! Call me nosy but I just love knowing and being apart of your lives! Blogging is such a fun community! So SPILL it! I know that I tend to get emails instead of comments from some of you, and I SO appreciate that and love communicating on a more personal level as well. So Thank you!

I am linking up with my dear friend, Alissa, over here! Pop on over and read what everyone has been up to!

I hope you have an incredible weekend!!

Coffee Date/Hang Out Sesh

Happy, Happy, Happy Friday!

It has been a helluva week. I feel like I am on a never ending roller coaster ride, and I am ready to get off now. This should make for a very interesting post. I kind of have diarrhea of the mouth when I am feeling like this.

Sooooo.....
If we were having coffee and hanging out today, this is what I'd share:

- Job Hunting is a B-I-T-C-H. Yup I said it. I swear I thought it would be easier. I have been proven wrong. I have applied and I wait. Apply and wait. It is making me crazy, I tell you!

- I got my hair done and I am headed to a wedding tonight. I am excited to wear my new dress and rock a fun new hairstyle (inspired by Reese and Emma) . I also LOVE celebrating love. I am so happy for my friends and am honored to be celebrating them!

- When it comes to matters of the heart, I know nothing. I don't know what I am doing. Love is hard. I am afraid I lost a good one this week. Praying I didn't but I just don't know.

- I have cried more times this week than I have in the last three months. I hate it. Blah!

- I got invited to attend Lucky FABB which I am super excited about. I am *trying* to find a way to pay for my ticket so I can go! UGH! It would be such an incredible time. Is anyone going???

- I am running a 5K a week from Saturday. At Angels Stadium. I am so excited to be running another race. Plus we get to go to the game that night. BASEBALL is back. Woohoo! I heart baseball season. A lot!

- I would tell you that I didn't get to work out once this week due to a big fat bruise on my inner thigh from riding the bull at the Bachelorette party last weekend. It is HUGE, gnarly looking, black and purple and hurts to touch. My legs touch. So even walking is painful. Which means that running and cardio has been pretty much impossible. It sucks because the ONE week I REALLY needed working out as an outlet, I didn't have it. Probably why this week has been extra hard to deal with. I am craving it!

- Music is getting me through the ups and down. I have been getting in my car to drive and blow off steam and my radio level is at 50+. So loud and I don't have a system in my car. I just have a deep need to feel the music at the core of my soul. Literally. I love feeling my body shake from the vibrations.

- I would tell you that I am OBSESSED with THESE heels, that I am dying to buy these in camo and I really, really, really have to have these pants in my closet in the blue color (worn with a loose tank, wedges and straw fedora. Summer Style!). What are you currently coveting??

So tell me what is going on with you! Share something funny or light hearted if you can. Or commiserate with me and share what has been troubling you! Nothing is off limits. Good or Bad we just need to keep it real!

Thanks for reading about my awful week!
It can only get better! I really believe that!

I am linking up with Alissa over here!

Coffee Date/Hang Out Sesh

 Happy Friday!
I hope that you will join me for coffee today! I am loving this series and the opportunity to share with you all. I am linking up with my friend Alissa, so if you are joining me on this hang out sesh I suggest you go link up and see what other women are sharing!

Today's topic is '5 Random Things you don't know about me". I have written a few posts with random facts so I decided to Vlog this post. First one and it is awkward! So hard not to critique myself. So many Umm's and I say "S's" weird which I never noticed. My mom always says I talk fast and slur words. Totally noticed that. I could go on and on but I will spare you! So take a few minutes and watch! Let me know what you think!

Do you have any random facts that you want to share with me? Since this isn't my "usual spill it" type coffee date/hang out sesh post I still want to give you a reason to interact! I like randomness in people, so SHARE!!

I hope that you all have a GREAT weekend!
I will be back with a style post on Monday!

***Sorry the video is small. I am still learning. Any suggestions are welcomed***

Coffee Date/Hang Out Sesh

TGIF lovelies!

I hope that you will join me for coffee today! I am loving this series and the opportunity to share with you all. I am linking up with my friend Alissa, so if you are joining me on this hang out sesh I suggest you go link up and see what other women are sharing!

I am wearing this camo hoody. Again. And these sunnies. I am DYING to get them with the Green Flash lens too.

If we were having coffee today (or tea since that is what I am drinking) I would start off by sharing that I am missing my family this week! Getting to spend a couple days with them is like a tease. Seeing my nephew and niece makes my heart SO happy. I tell you that I was so excited to have my nephew sleep in my room both nights that they were here. And that on the second night he woke up and wanted to sleep in bed with me. WHile I didn't get much sleep that night (how do you moms do it???) I loved the extra cuddles, running my fingers through his curls and watching him sleep. There is nothing more special than those little moments. I would ask you about your fam (if you had one) or to have you share a special moment you had in the past couple of weeks.

Don't pay any attention to me. Sneak attack! How I slept most of Sunday night.

If I was having coffee with you I would share that I had an interview this week and that I have been applying for new jobs. I would share what a nerve wrecking process it is but even through the nerves I am SUPER excited to start a new chapter in my life. I would ask you to keep me in your thoughts and prayers that the perfect position comes available. I would ask you about your job and where your passion lies.

Dating and my Work Outs are always a hot topic. I would share that I saw my "future husband" in a Yoga class last week. I would tell you that I have not been that physically attracted to someone like that in YEARS. Now I just have to see him again so that I can get the balls to talk to him. I would tell you how my family saw what I looked like after a hot yoga class and jokingly (well, not really. They were serious) told me that I should only try to talk to him BEFORE class. LOL. I am a hot, disgusting, sweaty, smelly and red faced mess after a work out. There is nothing cute about me. At all. I know that and I am ok with that. I would ask you if you read my most recent Flirty Thirty posts about my dating diary the last few months and get your thoughts on what I shared. I would ask how your love life is and if you have been focused on a diet and fitness regimen.

If we were hanging out I would talk a little bit about the blog and social media. I would share that my blog readership continues to grow and that I am a little overwhelmed by my Inbox. I have so many emails to respond to that I don't know where to begin. Haha. I would share that I am beginning to accomplish some of the goals that I set for 2013. AND I would tell you how excited I am that I hit 500 followers on Instagram! Pretty cool milestone.

I always have to share what I am dying to buy. So I would tell you that I am in DIRE need of a new pair of running shoes and that I am thinking about buying these in the BRIGHT blue combo. I am also dying to buy these booties after stalking Laura of Ascot Friday's blog and IG feed. Plus my friend Jess has them and I am in love. I still need to buy some pants that fit. I am loving these because of the zippers and my obsession with distressed denim is out of control so these skinnies obviously need to come home with me. And lastly I am dying to buy the Naked Basic palette. I need some matte, neutral shadows in my life. I need to reel my shopping in until I secure a new job. I am hoping you will hold me accountable ;)

I am pretty positive that we would talk about upcoming plans for the weekend and that we cannot believe that it is February already! I have a 30th birthday party to attend and I have NO plans for Super Bowl (yet). I still haven't seen some of the Best Picture nominees and I am DYING to go to a concert. Luckily I will be seeing Pink in a couple weeks. I have started making plans to go to AZ fro Spring Training, I have some Country concerts that I will be attending and a couple weddings coming up. The next few months will be very busy! I would hope that you are planning some fun things too!

Now that I have talked your ear off, what else would you tell me? I love hearing about your life too! Let's chat!

Thanks for hanging out with me today! I hope that you have an incredible weekend!
Since none of my favorite teams are playing in the Super Bowl I am going to root for the California team....GOOOOO NINERS!!!

Coffee Date/Hang Out Sesh

What. A. Week.

It is a perfect time to bring you another coffee date! If you missed my last Coffee Date Post you can read it here. The concept was created by my friend Alissa about a year ago and I am just now jumping on the bandwagon. One of my goals this year is to connect with my readers and I think that this is a great way to do so. We all live real lives and it is nice having a support system to help deal!

If we were having coffee this week I would tell you that I have not had a coffee since last Friday when I felt like I OD'd on caffeine after having TWO in one day. I felt so sick. NEVER again, no matter how tired I am. I am sticking to tea for now! Haha.

I would share that I genuinely have NOTHING to complain about in life. But some weeks are way more emotional than others. And this week has been a doozy! 2013 has started out with a bang and I am dealing with things left and right. It. Is. Exhausting! I am so glad to be dealing with issues head on and not bringing all of that stuff into a fresh new year. I would ask you how the new year has been treating you.

I would definitely bring up how proud I am of my work outs these past couple of weeks. I have been killing it in the gym and at Yoga. I want to hit my goals, I want to lose the last twenty pounds and I want to feel confident in a bikini in front of people. It helps that the guys that I have been dating share that same interest as well. It creates a slight competitiveness and gives us something to connect and support each other on. I would tell you that I like to keep an eye out for new work outs and I am definitely going to be trying Piloxing in the near future. It is a mix of Pilates, Boxing and Dance which I think will be SO fun and do wonders for my core! I would ask you about your diet and fitness regimen. Hopefully we can talk about some things that will help encourage and support one another on our journeys!

If we were hanging out we would definitely talk about how I am trying to save instead of shop and that it is killing me! I know I need to buy new things but I am holding out. I would tell you how I have only been picking up random clothing items at Target and that I am surprisingly ok with it! I picked up this sweater this week. I would ask you to tell me what shopping you have done and try to live vicariously through you! Haha.

I am sure we would talk about my dating situation. I would go on and on and on about all of the crazy thoughts in my head. I would share with you that I am struggling with my relationships as a whole, meaning with my friends and family as well. I would talk about what I am learning, how I am dealing and why I process the way I do. And hopefully you will just listen because sometimes every one's thoughts and opinions just make things ten times harder! But I would appreciate your opinion just the same ;)

To lighten up our coffee date I would tell you that I took down my Christmas tree this week (FINALLY) and that I am really bummed about how the Lakers have been playing! I would also state how excited I am for the Football playoffs and that I am still hoping to see Argo and Les Miserables soon. I'd ask you what you have been up to and if you have any plans this weekend!

Since I am always the chatty one, I want to know, what do you want to share with me? If we were on a coffee date what would you want to talk about? Let's chat!

Check out what everyone else has been up to!

Coffee Date/Hang Out Sesh

Happy Friday, Friends!
As we wrap up another week, and as I spent the last couple of days in bed due to illness, I wanted to bring you a "new" post (that will be a somewhat regular post/series in 2013). My friend Alissa, who blogs over at Rags to Stitches, has been doing a Coffee Date post and Vlog for the past year. I love reading her posts, getting a glimpse into her heart and want to be able to do the same here at 'in the Fashion Lane'. In fact, I have my 2013 Goals up on the Pollinate Media Blog today, that I hope you will go and read!  I have lofty goals for this blog and I figured I better start now if I want to make them a reality.

If we were hanging out/having coffee I'd tell you to make sure and grab one of the Holiday flavors because it is the only time that I REALLY drink coffee and that I am sad that my Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Skinny Peppermint Mochas will soon be gone for another nine months. You would probably laugh and tell me that I am ridiculous until you realize that I am serious and will see Iced Tea in my hand until September. Haha.

Then I would share with you that the past couple of weeks were harder for me than I let on. There were so many firsts this Holiday Season, and while I have no complaints, it was hard to get used to. My plans didn't turn out or happen the way that I thought that they should but that I am learning from the situation. I would probably talk incessantly about my niece and nephew, about how cute they are, how much I love them and talk about our week in Tahoe! I would ask you to share with me what your Holiday was like, what fabulous goodies you received and what your favorite memory is. I LOVE the Holidays and always want to know the details.

If we were hanging out I would be blabbing about the latest man, sharing how smitten I have become while whining about how hard dating is and how scared I am to be in a relationship again. Most of my friends are living vicariously through my dating adventures as I am sure you are too. ;) I would be sure to ask about your love life and your opinion on mine! Ha!

I would bring up my struggles with my fitness regimen and my diet. I would tell you how hard it is to maintain the intensity that I have and ask for your support and encouragement. My eating was pretty good through out the Holidays but I could have worked out more/harder. I would share that I am dying to do a reformer Pilates class and that I wish I had the funds to do it. I would also encourage you to come to Yoga with me as much as possible as it is doing wonders for my body and soul.

You will probably laugh when I share that I have been browsing many websites for clothes (staple pieces) that I am dying to buy when I lose ten more pounds. It has come to a point where all of my jeans, even the pairs that I bought as I lost weight, are all too big even when worn with a belt. I don't feel like I have "earned" the right to buy expensive pieces yet, since I have not hit my goal weight. I would tell you that I am DYING to own these J Brand jeans but have to wait because they run small and I am terrified I won't fit into them.

Being the frivolous girl that I am, I'd probably talk about clothes and fashion WAY too long. I would probably bust out my iPhone and show you the few pieces that I am lusting over this week. Like this sweater (or in blue?), or the Nars 'Train Bleu' lip pencil and Estee Lauder 'Black Cassis' lipstick I am dying to buy even though I hardly ever wear lip stuff, this amazing Aztec print shirt that I have to have and the work out pants I love and must own in this blue color.

Over coffee I would tell you that 2013 is going to bring a lot more change in my life. That I am going to be looking for a new job/career that I am truly passionate about. That I have very distinct criteria of what I am looking to do and that I know it is going to be hard to find. But I am not scared to be picky and wait for what is best.

You all know that I like to talk a lot, so enough about me. If we were hanging out, having coffee, what would YOU share with me?

I hope that you like this type of post!
If you do, check out some of the other blogs that I am linking up with over here!

 Have an GREAT weekend!
